Let the little Children come to me....
Of course, most the activity from the past week, has been centered around grandkids - old and new! After spending Wednesday at the pool with Heather and her 2 kids, and Heidi's little gal Laila, we spent yesterday introducing a couple of the cousins to Seth.
Sloane got her arms around him, and just didn't want to let him go, and Kloyie cuddled with him until he fell asleep and then simply gazed upon his sweet little face. Kloyie is my oldest and Seth is the newest - the Alpha & Omega.
It's so fun to see the reaction that a newborn brings into the family. One of reverence, amazement, renewed love and appreciation, and joy. Their mere existance melts our heart - their scent transcends us to a place of softness and sweetness - they simply mold themselves in our arms, on our chest, or in the crook of our neck to make us feel fulfilled - their 'gassy smile', the way they pucker their lips and pop their eyes, the sweet little noises they make, their tiny little hands and feet....these are all things that make me soften and melt.
Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body. ~Elizabeth Stone
